In the Heart of Oregon's Wine Country

A boutique vineyard is hidden away in the majestic Chehalem Mountains of Newberg, Oregon, 18 miles southwest of Portland.  With great respect for God's canvas, we decided to plant a vineyard and bring our land to life; raise our children and work with our hands in the soil; as God intended.  After 3 years of hard labor, we proudly harvested our first crop in 2004 and made one barrel of fabulous pinot noir.

With a small annual production of 500 cases, we produce a trio of distinct wines by fermenting each of the five clones of Pinot Noir; Pommard, 114, 115, 667 and 777 in separate fermentors with their own designated yeast.  Selecting the perfect yeast for each clone produces an exquisite symphony of aromas and flavors in the blended wines.

Our Jacob and Rachel Estate Pinot Noirs are named after their respective vineyard blocks.  The St. James Estate Pinot Noir is a blend of both blocks and is aged in neutral barrels.

The Bella Chardonnay is the Wente clone from the famous Celilo Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge.  Our practice of fermenting the wine in 50% stainless and 50% french oak barrels along with premium yeast selections produces a beautiful melody of intense aromas and flavors in the finished wine.

Elle Rêve:

She Dreams

A woman’s dream to have a vineyard began 20 years ago in St. Helena, California. It was a sweltering hot August and harvest was in full swing with farmers bringing in grapes to be weighed and processed.

She watched and listened to stories and the dream was born. The passion for knowledge grew deeper every year. Touring wineries and asking questions only served to fuel the fire to plant a vineyard.

When the opportunity presented itself in the Pacific Northwest, she and her husband bought a small farm in Yamhill County, Oregon. She cleared the land, prepared the soil and planted grape vines.

What was once just a dream............
